Your support helps us grow and expand our programs.
Give now to our end of year membership drive.
Dear Friend of X-TRA,
Thank you for being a part of X-TRA’s community.
As you know, X-TRA’s mission is to provoke critical dialogue about contemporary art. The uncertainty and political chaos of our current moment throws a spotlight on the crucial role of critical dialogue in society. Art is uniquely positioned to critique the powers that be and ask tough questions in tough times. X-TRA is uniquely positioned to support this work across print, our website and free public programs.
- Since 1997, X-TRA has published contributions by more than 520 artists and writers across 83 issues.
- Over the past year, X-TRA published work from 59 contributors, hosted 12 public events, launched a new print design, and welcomed over 47,000 online readers.
- We know you share our commitment to critical dialogue.
Now is the time to show your support.
In 2019, we’re focused on reaching a broader audience. Next week, we officially launch our new website and X-TRA Online. Our web-only online columns offer more intimate artist writings, readings, and conversation in a range of media. We appointed Travis Diehl and Evan Kleekamp to our Online team. We’ve already published contributions from Nao Bustamante, Aria Dean and Travis Diehl, Erik Frydenborg, EJ Hill, Brian Karl and Olivia Mole, Gelare Khoshgozaran, Poli Marichal, Daniel R. Small, and A.L. Steiner. And there’s more to come, including Artist Rights, our programming partnership with KCET’s Artbound.
How do we do all of this?
YOU are the key to X-TRA’s success! Subscribing members, donors and fundraiser supporters like YOU contributed 50% of last year’s budget. All donations, no matter their size, make a difference… and they are tax-deductible!
- Give $75 or more and get an X-TRA Tote.
- This year, give a little ex-tra for our expanding X-TRA Online.
