    X-TRA Project Manager for Online and Marketing

    Flexible office hours, approx. 8 hours per week

    This new position calls for a self-directed creative person with marketing and social media savvy as well as strong communication and writing skills.

    We seek someone with knowledge and familiarity with contemporary art in Los Angeles and beyond. Candidate needs to have administrative experience and an interest in being an integral part of the small team running X-TRA and its nonprofit publisher Project X Foundation for Art & Criticism.

    The Online and Marketing Project Manager will plan and implement social media and marketing campaigns for X-TRA’s programs, including the print journal, X-TRA’s new Online contents and public events. This entails writing copy and graphics for email blasts and social media. The Project Manager is also responsible for overseeing content management for X-TRA’s website, and will provide administrative support for fundraising and subscription campaigns.

    The Project Manager will work in concert with the Executive Director, Managing Editor and Online Editor. We’re a small organization, the Project Manager will also do a bit of everything.

    List of responsibilities:
    Manage X-TRA’s Social Media accounts (facebook, twitter, instagram)
    Create effective and meaningful marketing materials
    Oversee Online content management and copyediting
    Manage timetables and image permissions for X-TRA Online
    Help oversee interns

    Required skills:
    Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, copy-editing, experience on Social Media platforms and familiarity with website analytics, Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, basic HTML, and basic video editing.

    Compensation commensurate with experience. This is an independent contractor position.
